Team Building

In many organizations teams are used to tackle tasks and work processes. Effective and cohesive teams bring energy, motivation and commitment to these tasks and processes.
This workshop is designed to help members of teams become more cohesive and learn the essential aspects of effective team work. Participants focus on the skills necessary to help a team develop clarity about how well it is functioning and what it needs to increase its effectiveness. Participants will also learn key concepts and models relating to team building as a dynamic process.
Through the workshop participants will explore and learn about issues such as:
- How teams can lead themselves
- The pros and cons of external and internal rewards
- The role of an effective team leader
- The roles of team members
- Decision making in teams
- Team Building
- Communication within teams
- How to handle conflicts of interest
- The use and abuse of power
- Keeping motivated and focussed
The workshop is run experientially and participants must be willing to be involved in structured exercises. Through a range of team building activities including indoor and outdoor exercises participants will work in teams to identify and learn the skills, insights and understandings necessary to work as teams in their back home situations. Time will also be given during the workshop for the application of learnings in the participants back home organization.
Who should attend:
Teams or individuals who wish to explore what it means to function as a team and to learn a range of team building activities that will help their own back home teams to function more effectively.
Time needed for workshop:
This workshop can be run for either two or four full days, the time frame depends on the client group and the results required.
