Designing for success

A workshop by Tony Saddington

Many organizations and groups design and run educational programmes for their members, organizations, communities or the wider public.

This workshop will begin with a brief overview of the steps in designing educational events and then explore some of the nuts and bolts of educational programmes. The focus will be on the aims and facilitation of educational programmes, on the use of experiential learning, the application of learnings, and key elements of curriculum construction.

  • application of learnings
  • evaluation

The workshop will be run experientially and includes group sessions and short theory sessions. Active participation is encouraged.

Who should attend:
Educators and trainers responsible for running educational programmes, who already have a basic understanding of designing and running educational events but wish to develop more sophisticated design skills.

Time needed for workshop:
Two full days.
